Today, the JoYn parquets exist with two different
pre-finishings i.e. durable mat lacquer or oil + hardwax.
Lacquered finishing
The lacquered version has 7 layers from which the two top ones are
referred to as "anti scratch lacquer", one of the strongest lacquers
in the world. This new lacquer is not only extremely resistant to
wear but also to light. It is resilient (resistant to heavy loads),
anti-slip and resists also to the household chemicals.
Oil + hardwax finishing
The oil + hardwax finishing procures a double protection to your flooring:
the parquet is not only oiled (= protection from inside) but also has a top
layer of hardwax which makes it appear mat and "warm" as were the waxed wood
floorings in the good old days, with this difference that this hardwax
protects your floor durably from humidity, dirt and wear.
